My work booked me into St Athans - I believe it was around £40 for a single room. First impressions of the staff were very good - very cheery and friendly. First impressions of the room were not good. VERY small, no TV, very dim light (and as there was no TV I had planned to spend time reading) and... more

I've awarded two points because: 1) I stayed at this hotel for two nights in November 2007. For this experience, I would have given three, for clean room, good location and fair price, but because of the following, one point needs to be substracted: 2) In May 2009, I enquired online whether a room would be available for two nights... more

I have been several times in London, and is always difficult to find a good budget hotel. But now I have found a good choice. The St. Athans is very well located, close to Russel Square, tube station (Picadilly), bus stop and the Britsh Museum. The room is very small, but clean (no TV, no fan, no WC). The shared... more

I went to London with 2 of my friends. We had a great time in London and the location of the hotel was really good. Near the hotel there are severale little parks, we really liked Russel Square and tavistock place, it's really nice to relaxe there or have a picknick in the summer. There are also a lot of... more

For £40 a night a got a clean, tidy and reasonably sized room. the shared toilets/showers were always clean and the staff were very helpful and friendly. a full breakfast is also included. the one bad point was the street noise - so next time i will just bring some ear plugs! i will definitely stay here again. more

I will keep it very short simple and sweet. 1. Positives: the staff were relatively friendly and i was able to book a room last minute. 2. Negatives: Mice and bed bugs..... dont say you werent warned! good luck on your search on trip advisor- and hopefully this will help some other unsuspecting soul that was considering this hotel. more

We are really sorry that this happened. We have a zero tolerance policy on any form of pest and these things are always dealt with in the most stringent way as soon as we are alerted to the problem. As we are located in central London with guests arriving from all over the world all the time, this is unfortunately...

This B&B had been recomended by a young collegue. After that, I checked teh reviews in trip advisor and I took the chance. I should have done more attention to Trip advisor... I asked for a en suite room, and was given one in the top floor (it was room T10, if you still want go there tell them you... more

St Athans Hotel was good value for the price (£50 for a double with breakfast). Anyone who's been to London will know that the quality/price ratio for most hotels is very poor so we were happy to find this place which is clean and well located. It is close to Kings Cross, St Pancras and Euston train stations so convenient... more

I stayed at St Athans with a group of students from Portugal for our study visit to London. As the teacher responsible for this group, I feel this is a great place to stay. The students loved the English breakfast. The staff was friendly and helpful, it was clean and family friendly. Furthermore, it´s near the Russel Square underground which... more

Actually, it's not a typical flophouse: it is hugely overpriced for it. The room on the upper floor was big enough for a narrow single bed, one chair (no table), a small cabinet and a tiny sink. The rest was a 2 ft space between the bed and the wall. The floor was slanted: at the one corner of the... more
