The hotel was wonderful, and it complimented the overall charm of Paris. The location was great, and we were able to walk almost the entire city from the hotel. The staff were marvelous--always ready to help, even w/ minor things. The only "problem" was that the room had two double beds rather than a queen. more

We stayed at this hotel for the first time for 3 nights in December, 2008. My wife and I visit Paris frequently and we almost exclusively stay on the Left Bank. We have stayed at many 4 and 5 star hotels either in the Latin Quarter or St Germain de Pres area. This hotel is in our view the best... more

Straff outstanding in their care, help and efficiency as usual. The public areas of the hotel are nost welcoming and comfortable; the log fire adds greatly to the ambience. Mike Smith more

Excellent hotel The staff were so helpful and it could not have been a better stay . We have stayed in many hotels in Paris and this was the best. We loved all the little details including excellent breakfasts facing the garden terrace with English newspapers . The staff also gave us wonderful reccomendations for dining close to the hotel... more

Although an indulgent overnight stay turned out to be an extremely expensive one as the pound plummeted, the hotel is hard to fault in terms of convenience, peacefulness, cleanliness and comfort. What a pity they are stingy enough to make guests pay extra for anything more than coffee and croissants at breakfast! Grim coffee, too! J & B more

After reading these reviews I booked a room in this hotel and spent with my wife 2 nights starting 12th December in this lovely hotel. The fact that it is so close to St. Germain and the beautiful boutiques and restaurants and all that live stuff but still is a quiet retreat was a big advantage. All the rest was... more

Read the reviews, looked at the pictures, then booked a 3 night stay in a Superior room for my wife and I on the hotel website. About $450+/night. Wow, can't wait. Upon arrival, My first impression was that a lot of people put a lot of time, money and thought into this place. Drinks by the fireplace anyone? In Paris?... more

The Hotel L'abbaye exceded our expectations. The staff were extremely gracious and helpful. The hotel was in a wonderful neighbourhood and everything was within walking distance. St. Germain is a great street to explore. PS; The hotel coffee was "exceptional" more

The Abbaye is a perfect hotel: everyone is extremely nice and helpful, the atmosphere is lovely, the rooms are very quiet and comfortable, the breakfasts are delicious. It is simple and not pretentious. It is everything one could ask for in a hotel. more
