Plumbing is old and there are problems with hot water in some rooms. Bathrooms poorly laid out, difficult to turn shower on/off/adjust water temperature due to layout. Air conditioning barely functions, fortunately able to open windows at night, fairly quiet. Internet is an expensive extra. Breakfast was very expensive and not worth the expense. Ditto the bar. Fantastic location, lovely, helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. Big plus was that a hot buffet breakfast was included in the price. This hotel seemed a bit tired to me. [Staff were helpful and breakfast was good.] Being just yards from the Arc de Triomphe it was a little dead too; too close to the tourist trap of the Champs Elysee, the expense of the 8th Adr. and too far from the Paris where Parisiennes live. Ok its not a bad hotel, and its not a brilliant one either. The rooms are clean but a little on the small side, and we were informed we were having a "City View", only to find we were overlooking a central internal courtyard, with very little natural light; I would however question whether there are any City view rooms... more
