About me: 35, Italian, work in the hotel industry, i usually travel for leisure, preferred choices Leading hotels or small luxury. I was at the san clemente in Venice the last weekend of November to attend a party. Upon arrival at San Marco we took the private boat of the hotel and in less than 10 min. we were at... more

wow!! that's all that can be said about this hotel. My boyfriend and I travelled here and get engaged on the private island where the palace is situated. This hotel really made our experience of Venice magical. Due to the vast size, you almost feel as though you have the palace to yourself. The private shuttle boat which travels between... more

OK - lets start with the positive....it is a beautiful island with great shuttle boats to get you to and from. We really enjoyed having the option to get away from the crowds in Venice and relax in an Island oasis. Breakfast is also fantastic and something to savour. Bad stuff - Hotel is very expensive (both to stay in... more

A business trip turned holiday during the carneval this past winter was very memorable, in a large part due to the experience at the San Clemente. In the middle of winter this very spacious resort takes on a baren look that adds to the charm of being in Venice in the winter, along with the boats rides to-and-from the resort... more

We have been very lucky and stayed in hotels all over the world but I would put the St Clemente Palace up there as one of the best! When you arrive in Venice there is a lot of bag dragging so pack lightly, it was therefore very welcoming to be helped with our bags every step of the way once... more

Went here for my honeymoon... a bit late of a review but just wanted to say the hotel was fantastic. My wife loved it.. truly a royal experience. Taking the boat to get to down is a bit of a drag... but besides that it is truly amazing getaway and it is like your own little palace. more

I rarely want to go and stay in the same place BUT this is different. The whole experience was excellent, stunning views from the suite windows, comfortable sitting area, excellent bed and professional`staff. The boat ride across to St. Marks Square takes 10 minutes and runs regularly even int the early hours. Returning to peace and tranquility. Great way to... more

Very nice hotel away from all the noise and congestion. My wife and I booked a Jr. Suite and when we arrived, the front staff moved us to a full Classic Suite.Beautiful room. Staff were very helpful. Hotel restaurant was nothing special, then again,we didn't find anyting special on the main land either. Great hotel, great stay. more

A great hotel on an island away from all the noise of Venice. Shuttle to St Marks square runs every 20 minutes. Hotel staff are first class, check in and out was very simple. Rooms are clean, large, and nicely decorated. Lots of marble in rooms. Only downside was breakfast. scrambled eggs not cooked enough, hash browns cold, bacon seared... more

We have just returned from a five day break in Venice and are so glad we stayed at the San Clemente. It lives up to its good reputation in every way: * the staff were all extremely courteous and helpful whether you were in designer clothes or M&S jeans * the rooms were very clean (towels regularly changed during the... more
