My wife and I stayed here at the end of Nov and beginning of Dec 2008 for 2 nights. This was one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed in. The owner Stefano is so kind and his entire staff are extremely customer oriented and hospitable. We stayed in the apartment across the street on the (7th floor) in Italy... more
Firstly, this hotel definitely is in a fantastic location, even though approaching it via two very tiny and ancient alleyways is a little offputting initially! The staff were friendly and there was a computer for the free use of guests which was helpful. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed (end of season as this was mid-November). The one ground floor room... more
Ca' dei Dogi is in a perfect location--steps away from St. Mark's Square, but nestled off a quiet side street. My husband, mother-in-law and I recently stayed there for two nights. The only problem was that our rooms were quite small, even by European standards--we had the Batik Double and the single room. That said, we could not have asked... more
We stayed at Ca Dei Dogi for 2 nights on Sept 16th and 17th and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This wonderful hotel is in a great location next to St Marks Square. We stayed in the Jacuzzi room, which was quite spacious and has it's own private terrace. Susannah and Stefano are lovely people - very welcoming and helpful -... more
My mum and I stayed here at the beginning of October for 4 nights and had a lovely time. The saying goes that location is everything and you can certainly say this is true of Ca' dei Dogi. The hotel is just 2 minutes walk from San Marco which couldn't be better. Nearby is a waterbus stop from which you... more
Stayed at the Ca'dei Dogi 10/31 through to 11/3 and absolutely loved it. The hotel is very close to St. Marks square but is situated down a quiet alley, so there was no noise at night. The rooms are very nicely appointed and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The included continental breakfast was also very good. It consisted... more
We just returned from our trip to Italy where we stayed at the Ca' dei Dogi in Venice for two nights. It was a great location, close to the Piazza San Marco, very clean, and the staff was extremely helpful. We stayed in the economy room which was very small, designed a bit like a room in a cruise ship,... more
Having read rave reviews on Trip Advisor we though disappointment was inevitable, but fortunately we were wrong. A couple of minutes walk from the San Zaccaria waterbus stop on the busy Riva Schiavoni and just round the corner from San Marco, but very quiet (except for the occasional song from a gondolier entertaining his passengers, there's a canal nearby). We... more
What more could you ask for? Just right off of the pier san Zacharia. Call them from the port and they will walk you to the door. It is difficult to find on your own and mind you I did arrive at 12 AM. Very friendly staff very helpful. The place is so cute and tucked away from the city... more
