I stayed here (alone) for three nights a few weeks ago. I needed a friendly, comfortable, inexpensive place to stay while I explored Amsterdam and that is exactly what I got. The free wireless internet (you must bring your own laptop) was a great bonus! Good value for the money. more

Short three day stay at the Acro. Ideal if your on a budget. Great location in nice area of town, near the museums and up-market shopping. Budget flight into Amsterdam, easy train ride from airport. There's no escaping the fact that this is not a full service luxury hotel but if your budget is important then this should be a serious contender in Amsterdam. I have just returned from a couple of nights in Amsterdam. Couldnt fault the hotel, basic but clean and in a really good location. Rooms were small, however we didnt spend that much time in it The staff were all very friendly and ready to help with any queries. I would recommend this hotel, good as a base to explore.... more

I would only recommend this hotel for people in their late teens/early 20s who want a step above a hostel and don't mind a noisy hotel. This hotel is in a good location near Museumplein and a tram stop. However, the accomodations are very basic -- like a university dorm room. The breakfast that came with the room was nice.... more
