The Acro Hotel came as a recommendation and being a seasoned traveler to Amsterdam was concerned about the location and condition of the Hotel Acro. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a great place to stay in Amsterdam so close to all the major attractions, its location is in a very nice part of Amsterdam away from the Red... more

I stayed here (alone) for three nights a few weeks ago. I needed a friendly, comfortable, inexpensive place to stay while I explored Amsterdam and that is exactly what I got. The free wireless internet (you must bring your own laptop) was a great bonus! Good value for the money. more

Short three day stay at the Acro. Ideal if your on a budget. Great location in nice area of town, near the museums and up-market shopping. Budget flight into Amsterdam, easy train ride from airport. Walked from the station to the Acro...nice stroll, but only had hand luggage. Hotel easy to find, clean, small rooms but all you need really.... more

There's no escaping the fact that this is not a full service luxury hotel but if your budget is important then this should be a serious contender in Amsterdam. Like other reviewers have said this is not a hotel for a quiet weekend. There were two stag parties and a group of Scottish lads staying the weekend I was there.... more

Booked two double the Acro for two nights as a late choice, the Bellevue being fully booked and other central hotels just being so much more expensive given the decline of the pound against the Euro. As usual for this price range in Amsterdam the double rooms were tiny, only one person being able to move around at a time,... more

We were all on a budget and wanted to spend as little time as possible sat in our hotel rooms. Amsterdam is such a fantastic place to visit and all we really needed was somewhere to put... more

I would only recommend this hotel for people in their late teens/early 20s who want a step above a hostel and don't mind a noisy hotel. This hotel is in a good location near Museumplein and a tram stop. However, the accomodations are very basic -- like a university dorm room. The breakfast that came with the room was nice.... more
