Yes, it's all so true! Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we stayed at Riad 9 for 5 nights. It lived up to our expectations. The beautiful home is authentically and painstakingly restored, and decorated with fabulous style. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the hosts ever so gracious. Atima and her sister took care of our every need. The food was... more

We stayed at Riad 9 for 4 nights. The riad is magnificent, and is a true haven of peace and tranquility, which is a contrast with the buoyant life and pace of the Medina. We were warmly welcomed, and treated like house guests as opposed to hotel guests. It truly felt like going home to our riad rather than in... more

Perfect location in the middle of the Medina this small but beautiful Riad lies between the two main streets. But this isn't it's main attraction. Beautiful furnishings and restored features in the internal roofed courtyard where candlelit dinners and freshly made breakfasts of local specialities are served - but this isn't the main attraction either. Bruno, Atika and her sister... more

My husband and I stayed at Riad 9 for the final night of our honeymoon in Morocco last month. Bruno and Atika were incredibly kind to us and extremely generous. The Riad is magical and we loved the little discoveries and hidden treasures in every area of the Riad. The hospitality of Bruno and Atika, birds chirping in the morning,... more

This small riad tucked away in the medina of Fes provides a peaceful haven to escape to after a busy day of sightseeing. The riad has been beautifully restored by the owners, who have fantastic taste, and is decorated with gorgeous eclectic pieces from around the world. My husband and I are very into the look of things ( I... more

This was such a superb holiday... Atika and her sister looked after us so well, from the moment we arrived when she had prepared breakfast for us, to the second we left. This riad is a wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of the excitement of Fes. We looked forward to relaxing in the heat of the afternoons on... more

We were 4 couples from Denmark and we had a wonderful time in this extraordinare riad. The services provided by Atika and her sisters were so perfect, wonderful food and a general helpfulness. The house is very beautifull and we loved to look at the antiquities all over the house. It is obvious that beauty comes before comfortableness in the... more

We too read the reviews and based our decision on Tripadvisor. Bruno managed to squeeze us in despite last-minute changes. Everything you have read about Numero 9 in not exagerated. Service and food were excellent. Everyone was very helpful, from start to finish. We too were treated to an excellent rooftop dinner prepared by Bruno. The riad is an oasis... more

If you go to Fez, you MUST stay with Stephen and Bruno. Their house is amazing and they are the loveliest hosts. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast (with homemade jams and fresh-squeezed juices) and relaxing on the gorgeous roof-top terrace with panoramic views of the Medina. It would be silly to stay anywhere else! more

Based on the previous reviews, I requested my travel agent to book Riad 9 for 3 nights during my stay in Fes. As I had experience that even hotels with no. 1 ranking in trip advisor were not that good in reality, I was a bit worry whether Riad 9 was as good as other travellers' comments. When I passed... more
