I stayed at the Laico Regency hotel in Nairobi for 1 week in November, and it was a wonderful experience. The décor of the suites was typical and perfect. Take a torch... this hotel is without doubt the dingiest and dirtiest hotel I have ever seen try to pass itself off as a business hotel. Pretentious hotel owned by Moammar Qadaffi. Staff were fairly efficient, but we were quoted USD 210/night and they ended up adding all manner of compulsory extras that brought it up to USD300/night - which we did NOT appreciate.
