This Inn was a lot of fun to visit. My husband and I booked the Idylewild Cottage for four nights. The cottage is just a few yards away from the main Inn. Check in was uneventful and we were taken to our suite. It was quite lovely. The living area was large with numerous windows. The furnishings were generous. There... more

Everything at the Wauwinet is great. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the restaurant is creative and delisious, the staff is attentive and professional. Try and book directly with the hotels website, they offer discount rates on certain dates. more

So The Wauwinet is wonderful -- we love places that feel more like home then they do like a big hotel. They have a wonderful "living room" where you can sit and read, enjoy a cup of tea or a drink and read. The food was exceptional. If there is a negative, it is isolated. It is on the opposite... more

My girlfriend and I spent a nice weekend getaway at the Wauwinet. It's actually my 1st time to Nantucket as well, and I LOVE the place. I went to Bali over the summer and the place is just filthy, and Nantucket really fulfills my island fantasy again! Wauwinet has the advantage of locating between the Nantucket Bay and the Atlantic... more

I've been going to Nantucket for over 20 years. First to work during the summers, then to visit friends (who are locals who grew up on the island) for vacations. This trip, we decided to splurge and stay at The Wauwinet off-season. I'd been there for sunset and drinks but always wondered what it was like to stay at the... more

We took advantage of special September rates and had a wonderful holiday for the money. I would say that service and location were the strong points of the hotel. A lot was also included which made the price a good value- free bottled water, free dvds and popcorn, free full breakfasts, free transfers to ferry a town, free boat trip,... more

If this is the best Nantucket has to offer I would hate to see the others. Upon arrival we were shocked at the size of our room (supposed to be one of their best). The king-size bed took up most of the room but did have luxurious bedding. The room had a damp, clammy feeling to it and no adjustment... more

We have all heard Nantucket is expensive, but...... For $800 a night, we got a tiny room, basically, a bed, and enough room to walk around it. Even the TV was wall mounted as there was no room to put it. No bath, and no fridge. The hotel has the 'famous' Toppers restaurant, and as hotel guests we always felt... more

The Wauwinet has the best location on Nantucket. To your right you can touch a widesweep of the Atlantic and in front of you are the calm waters of Nantucket Bay. It is a perfect spot and a somewhat magical place. (it was also late May and there were not many people around) We went on the jeep trip to... more

My husband and I just returned from a long weekend at the Wauwinet to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I can't say enough about the superb service and memorable weekend we experienced. In season, this is an extremely pricey property but there is no question that you get what you pay for. Concierge level accommodations at many four star properties (including... more
